OUCP currently offers the following programs:
Community-Building Fellows
An intensive twelve-month academic program improving metro Atlanta communities through collaborative partnerships focused on Public Policy, Community Development, Social Justice, Leadership and Engagement.
OUCP Graduate Fellowships
Emory's Office of University-Community Partnerships offers three kinds of fellowships for PhD students in the Graduate School and for graduate students in Law, Business, Nursing, Public Health, Theology, and Medicine for Summer 2009 and academic year 2009-2010. We especially seek applicants experienced and interested in one or more of the following topic areas: community building and social change; equitable development and neighborhoods (especially topics related to gentrification, neighborhood revitalization, and displacement); social policy (especially public education, welfare, and workforce development); community-based health concerns; the environment and sustainability; immigrant and refugee communities; communications and media production (audio, video, print and/or web); and engaged learning or service learning pedagogy.
Northwest Atlanta Community Outreach Partnership Center (COPC)
Engages students, faculty and staff in efforts to improve public education, preserve affordable houseing and strengthen the social fabric of Atlanta's underserved neighborhoods.
Project SHINE
Volunteer and course-based service helping refugees and immigrants gain English language proficiency and prepare for US citizenship.
Health Education via Airwaves by and for Refugees (HEARMe)
A partnership between Sagal Radio, Clarkston Community Center and Emory University's OUCP to produce on-air, on-line media which promotes health and cultural competency, funded by the Robert Wood Johnson and Benton Foundations.
Teaching and Research Minigrants
Small grants and assistance to faculty for courses and research projects that benefit metro Atlanta community partners.
