Community Building and Social Change Fellows Program Nationally Recognized...
...as one of 51 "bold and brilliant urbanites who are helping to build the cities of America's future," by Fast Company magazine. The CBSC Fellows Program is a national model, recognized as Georgia’s most innovative, urban-based project. The program is part of Emory’s larger commitment to community-engaged learning, and it helped earn Emory a spot on the prestigious 2010 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.

The OUCP is pleased to announce Maureen Sweatman has accepted the position of Associate Director of Engaged Learning, where she has primary responsibility for student engagement. Maureen has been regarded by the Scholars community as a steady, dedicated leader and valued advisor. While directing the Emory Scholars Program, students greatly benefitted from her commitment to issues of social justice, her sense of civic engagement, and her ability to nurture relationships with non-profit organizations where students work as interns.
